You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a journey into a never-explored futuristic world before.

Reader Review

It is not a novel that can be skimmed through. Take your time and enjoy the new world that is presented to you.

Reader Review

This novel is fascinating for its rich and complex story line set on multiple planets/worlds.

Reader Review

What an amazing book from start to finish.

Reader Review

What is there not to like? I found myself digging into this book and disappointed at the end of it because I wanted more now rather than having to wait for the next book.

Reader Review

A complex story line that draws you in then keeps you engaged. Nothing formulaic.

Reader Review

Well thought out story. The science fiction components are consistent.

Reader Review

Science fiction with real science! LaGrange points – I am so giddy.

Reader Review

Roller coaster of a story following fabulous characters who move through varying planet and spacecraft environments whilst always dealing with a war that’s not a war!

Reader Review

Waring enemies setting each other up to eliminate another enemy. Throw in a “neutral” entity that does lots of dirty work and this book has all the makings for a great series.

Be careful what you ask an android to do…

Bellona Cardenas Scordina de Deluca, daughter of the primary Cardenas family, went missing ten years ago. Reynard Cardenas, Bellona’s father and head of the family, receives anonymous, unsubstantiated news that she has been found. He sends the most disposable person in the family to investigate—Sang, the family android.

Sang’s investigation trips off chain reactions which shift the generations-old lukewarm war between Erium and Karassia into a galaxy-wide conflagration which will engulf the known worlds, including the neutral, fiercely independent free states…unless a hero can be found who will fight to hold the line against the two colossal forces.

New Star Rising is the first book in the Indigo Reports science fiction series by award-winning SF author Cameron Cooper.

Action Packed Space Adventure

Fascinating story and interessting concepts. I enjoyed this story tremendously. Cam transports the reader from the everyday into deep space, onto wonderful planets and societies and heated politics and fanatic warfare.

Bellona who vanished 10 years ago, pops up in the most unexpected place and the entire world suddenly turns topsy turvy upon her return and even worse, upon the return of her wiped and repressed memories. The death of her brother further complicates matters even more.

The plot is completely unpredictable with unexpected twists and turns. The emotions are raw, the fear and pain real and the action fast paced. The development of Sang is truly astonishing and touches the reader's heart.

With a small group of people Bellona does the unthinkable. The terrible destruction of a society, forces her to take action....which will hopefully unfold in the next books. I can't wait for them! Well done Cam on a beautiful science fiction tale!

A great read

Cooper delivers an action-packed suspenseful story that is full of twists and turns.

The author does a great job of world building and character development as we follow Sang, Khalil, and Bellona/Xenia's travels and travails.

I enjoyed all the action, twists, turns and suspense as I read this book.

I did not see the surprise twist the author put at the end of the story coming.

I really look forward to reading more of Cooper's "Indigo Reports' series.

Q: Is Bellona the hero that the mysterious Bureau is searching for?
Q: Can Bellona rescue her friends from captivity?
A: Get this excellent book and find out!! You won't regret the time you invest in exploring this world.

New Star Rising A Space Opera

Cameron Cooper is great at character building. You feel as if you are right there beside them. I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting. There are 2 political entities at war, for what seems like forever, our anti-heroine, Bellona, is the daughter of the leader of one of the sides. She is thought to be dead for last 10 years. Intrigue, space battles, brainwashing, city buster bombs, death and dismemberment. Well-worth the read. Nessie.

In the interest of transparency: I was given a free review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
It is my own honest opinion.

Amazing read!

This was an absolutely stunning beginning to a new series. Cameron Cooper is the master of world-building and has a way of making fantastical things feel “normal”...like, honestly, why aren’t there androids walking around everywhere and why can’t I talk to my coffee pot? Well, I do, but it doesn’t talk back...yet. But I digress. New Star Rising will take you on a journey through space and across multiple planets with unique climes and inhabitants and politics. The plot is intriguing and well thought out and will keep you guessing.

This book has it all: political intrigue, family drama, secret organizations, imaginative yet believable futuristic technology, interplanetary war and lovable androids and AIs.

If you like science fiction you can’t go wrong by reading this book. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

New Star Rising

Yippy! Cameron has created a whole new universe in which to play. Friends, enemies, political intrigues, oh my! Who really is the “bad” guy? I guess that we will find out as the story unfolds.

Cameron brings his worlds and characters to life. I feel like I have actually met them. I cannot wait to see how Khalil Ready’s character evolves.

And, science fiction with real science! LaGrange points – I am so giddy.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
